He heh… posting some new songs I recorded from the brief but awesome ‘Dream Sequencer’ project Autry and I did. I am happy to be realizing how well those songs held up to the passage of 10 years :)

Dang, yo! I thought I was prepared for my first attempt at taking public transit to the office in Glenview (suburb of Chicago). Looked everything up on goroo.com spotted the stops in street view…

But alas, it’s gonna take a bit more than a little poking around in street view. Even if they do have that shit in 3D now, son!

Another Anaglyph 3D post :P. I was just looking up a bus stop, and right-clicked on the view just to see what options there were. Apparently my anaglyph mania has spread everywhere!

With the resurgence of 3D—the maturation, really—anaglyph 3D is suddenly being given a boost, since there is a whole new wave of content to watch. Some of us have barely gotten on the HDTV wagon, let alone the 3D-capable HDTV one.

Just get a pair of glasses for $2-10
And that is it. You’re good to go. But do yourself a favor and get nice glasses, so you don’t get double-image effects (known as “ghosting”). Search for “3D glasses red cyan” on Amazon or eBay and you’ll see plenty of options. Make sure to get enough glasses for everyone :)

Don’t pay any attention to how-to’s for making your own glasses! I tried several methods, and it’s not cheaper. Just get the glasses!

So, what can you watch for free?

Even if you don’t have a Blu-Ray player, you can still watch a bunch if movie trailers and other professionally produced content, and the YouTube stereoscopic 3D player let’s you pick what kind of anaglyph glasses you have.

Beyond that, you can get a Blu-Ray drive for your computer and (in Windows) you can use Cyberlink PowerDVD to play 3D-Blu-Ray discs in anaglyph mode.

Then whenever you’re finally on that fancy 3DTV wagon you’ll be ready to watch them over again, not to mention the steady stream of movies and all-3D TV channels on the way!
